Uptown Action is a diverse, grassroots group of adults ages 18 and up in Northern Manhattan that works together to turn true stories of injustice into transformative community-based theatre events.

In a local response to the national epidemic of unjust police actions against people of color, People's Theatre Project is recruiting New Yorkers with stories of racial injustice to participate in its Uptown Action program. We are actively seeking uptown residents who are willing to share their stories of personal injustices faced because of race. Together, we will use the transformative power of the arts to strengthen and unify the community. Non-Artists are encouraged to participate!
