Arts in education
We are committed to sparking the imagination and education of students in the schools of Northern Manhattan by offering 30 week Theatre and Poetry curricula which are fully integrative into NYS ELA, Social Studies and Blueprint for the Arts Standards.
Corporate Training
We believe that theatre not only builds community, but teaches us about collaboration, listening and thinking outside the box. All of these are essential elements of a successful workplace. People’s Theatre Project partners with Theatre of the Oppressed NYC to custom-design Professional Development workshops and trainings that fit the needs of your staff with a focus on Communication Skills, Innovative Thinking and Collaboration. Theatre for Seniors
We value every member of our community and recognize the lack of arts programs in the senior population. We respect and recognize their wisdom and want to encourage them to share their stories by using classical theatre to inspire their own lives. Every week we bring professional actors and stage directors into senior centers and offer theatre classes in storytelling and Shakespeare. We know the significant value that these programs have in each of our students who range from ages 65- 95.
